Sanofi is one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, operating highly regulated manufacturing and research facilities across the globe.
At its Indiana manufacturing site, the business faced ongoing challenges securing experienced maintenance and facilities professionals within a highly competitive talent market. Several critical positions remained vacant for extended periods, creating pressure on operational teams responsible for supporting a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
The existing recruitment model relied heavily on a Managed Service Provider (MSP) structure and external engineering services firms. While effective for broader hiring requirements, this approach introduced additional layers of administration, slower hiring processes, and increased costs through multiple intermediary suppliers.
Many engineering services providers lacked dedicated recruitment capabilities, often subcontracting staffing requirements to recruitment firms. This created a double-margin structure that increased costs without improving delivery speed or candidate quality.
Sanofi required a specialist recruitment partner capable of accessing niche engineering and facilities talent directly while providing a faster, more cost-effective hiring solution.
Harba established a direct relationship with Sanofi through senior manufacturing leadership, initially supporting the site's Head of Engineering and Facilities with several hard-to-fill maintenance and facilities positions.
Working through a dedicated Statement of Work model, Harba provided direct recruitment support without relying on additional staffing intermediaries. This removed unnecessary layers from the hiring process, reducing costs while improving speed to hire.
Leveraging its specialist engineering and facilities network, Harba was able to rapidly identify and engage qualified professionals aligned with Sanofi’s technical, operational, and compliance requirements.
As successful placements were delivered, the partnership expanded through internal referrals to additional senior stakeholders, including Real Estate, Engineering, Facilities, and Operations leadership teams.
By combining specialist market expertise, direct candidate access, and a streamlined delivery model, Harba became a trusted workforce partner for critical staffing requirements across the site.
Harba successfully delivered multiple maintenance and facilities professionals through the initial Statement of Work engagement, helping strengthen operational capability across the Indiana site.
The partnership quickly expanded beyond the original scope, resulting in relationships with multiple senior hiring stakeholders across the business.
Most notably, Harba filled a critical maintenance role in just four days-a position that had previously remained vacant for several months under the existing supplier model.
The success of the engagement led to exclusive supplier status with a key hiring manager, creating a simplified recruitment process with a single trusted staffing partner.
The partnership continues to expand into additional functional areas, including Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality Assurance.
